Hyundai Elantra Rating
The Hyundai Elantra has recently been getting good reviews and ratings. Credit
these to its class leading engine, its fully equipped interiors, its low price,
its long warranty, and to the improvements made yearly since it was introduced
in 1992. But this was not always the case for Hyundai Elantra. It used to have
poor ratings and have been getting bad reviews.

When introduced in 1992 as a subcompact car, it was rated poorly due to its not
so powerful engine and the lack of standard comfort and conveniences as well as
safety features. It got bad reviews and sells low especially in the American market.
These reviews may be the reason why Hyundai have made a lot of improvements to
the Elantra.
For its performance, the Hyundai Elantra gets an average rating. The fact that
it has the most powerful engine in its class has given it a fairly high score.
But even though it has the most powerful engine in its class, it still cannot
match the performance of competitors like Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. This
may be because of the not too remarkable suspension performance and handling stability.
The quality of Hyundai Elantra's interior is rated high. Credit this to the roomy
interior space and the number of standard features available even if it is priced
low. The Elantra can sit a maximum of five persons just like any sedan, but it
offers more headroom and legroom to allow taller passengers in its cabin. It is
also feature packed considering its very affordable price.
Safety ratings have also improved from because of the additional features that
were added. It used to rate poorly because of the lack of standard safety features.
But with the yearly improvements given it, the safety features were also enhanced.
It now has standard safety features like dual front and side impact airbags, optional
ABS brakes, and other safety features like power windows and door locks and child
safety equipments.
