Hyundai Elantra Problem
Recent reviews have given the Elantra a good rating. This may be because Hyundai
have found a way to address the problems and defects of previous Elantra models.
They must have found solutions to the reliability and repair problems that the
previous Elantra year models have been experiencing.
Reviews on older Elantra gave it an unsatisfactory rating, maybe because of its
poor long-term reliability as well as the NHTSA recalls and poor crash test ratings
it had. Most of the problems registered for the Elantra have something to do with
the engine parts. The timing belt and the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) have been
causing much problem for Elantra owners from the 1992 to the 2000 model. Failure
of these two equipments can cause the engine not to start and cause other parts
of the engine to be damaged as well. Another problem is the Idle Speed Control
Motor. Problems with these three parts can cost you much because these are engine
parts and are vital for your car's performance.
However, Hyundai seems to have found the solution for these major problems, as
can be seen in their recent models. The problems have been addressed and the new
breed of Elantras has been getting good reviews because of this. It now also has
a higher crash-test rating because of added standard safety features. This adjustments
and solutions have made Elantra more competitive and become a better competitor
with the other cars in its class.
