2005 Hyundai Elantra

The 2005 Hyundai Elantra is a carry-over model of the previous year's model.
There was no much change except for minor revisions made in its body. The 2005
model basically retains both the good and the not so good characteristics of the
previous year's Elantra.
For 2005, Hyundai Elantra is available in two trims and in two body styles. Both
the sedan and hatchback are now available in the GLS and the GT trim, unlike in
the previous year where the hatchback is only available in the GT trim. The class
leading 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 132 hp to 132 hp was retained
for all models. The 5-speed manual transmission is still the standard transmission
with the 4-speed automatic transmission offered as an option at an added price.
Even the standard features for all models were retained this year. Standard equipments
still include the air conditioning system as well as the power windows, locks
and mirror. The GTs comes with an added sport suspension, alloy wheels, and leather
upholstery while the new GLS hatchback is equipped with the same sport suspension
that the GTS have. Optional features still include cruise control, an AM/FM radio
with CD player, anti-lock brakes with traction control, and a power moonroof.
Elantra's safety features are basic for economy class cars. Basic safety features
include dual front and side impact airbags, three-point harnesses at all seating
positions, and rear child-seat anchors and safety locks. The Hyundai Advantage
warranty, one of the longest warranties in the entire car industry, is still applicable
to all Hyundai Elantra models, erasing all of your reliability worries
