2004 Hyundai Elantra

The Hyundai Elantra gets a styling revision for the year 2004. New interior features
were also introduced this year, providing better comfort and conveniences for
both the driver and the passengers. There are still three available models: GLS
sedan, GT sedan, and GT hatchback. The transmission, suspension, and other powertrain
features were unchanged except for the engine that produces 3 hp more power than
the previous year's engine.
The Elantra receives a sharper look for 2004, as its exterior gets a revision.
Upgrades to the body style include a new design for the hood, grille, bumper,
headlights, decklid and taillights. A new rear spoiler is also available as a
standard feature for the GT models. It is further enhanced with five new colors
that give it a fresher look.
Not to be outdone by the exterior changes are the new standard interior features
for the 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Major improvements were made to the instruments,
console, and controls. The instrument cluster was redesigned to become more practical
and functional. New seat materials were also introduced for the 2004 model year.
The 2004 Hyundai Elantra can't still match with the Honda Civic or the Ford Focus
when it comes to performance and luxuriousness. But for a small subcompact car
it performs well, having one of the best engines in its class and yet provides
good fuel economy. For a low-cost car, it has the practicality and functionality
available for its high-cost competitors, or even more.
